چکیده

Introduction Ebstein’s anomaly is associated with a wide range of cardiac dysrhythmias, including presence of 1 or more accessory pathways. We present a case of a girl with Ebstein’s anomaly and symptomatic tachycardia. Electrophysiology study demonstrated a slow conducting decremental pathway as well as inducible antidromic reentrant tachycardia. Voltage mapping of the pathway potential was performed to locate and target the Mahaim fiber.

[Non-fluoroscopic electroanatomical mapping (CARTO system) in the ablation of atrial tachycardias].

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES The recent introduction of navigation systems has made substantial improvements in cardiac electrophysiological mapping. We present our experience with non-fluoroscopic electroanatomical mapping in patients with atrial tachycardias. PATIENTS AND METHOD We studied 24 consecutive patients with atrial tachycardias (10 of whom had undergone previous radiofrequency abla...

Electroanatomical mapping of atrial fibrillation: Review of the current techniques and advances.

The number of atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablations performed annually has been increasing exponentially in the western countries in the last few years. This is clearly related to technological advancements, which have greatly contributed to the improvements in catheter ablation of AF. In particular, state-of-the-art electroanatomical mapping systems have greatly facilitated mapping proce...

Effects of stepwise ablation of chronic atrial fibrillation on atrial electrical and mechanical properties.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate the effects of stepwise catheter ablation of chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) on atrial electrical and mechanical properties. BACKGROUND Although stepwise catheter ablation of chronic AF is associated with acute arrhythmia termination and a favorable clinical outcome, atrial tissue damage following the procedure has not been evaluated. METHODS Forty ...

Advanced Mapping Systems To Guide Atrial Fibrillation Ablation: Electrical Information That Matters.

Catheter ablation is an established and widespread treatment for atrial fibrillation (AF). Contemporary electroanatomical mapping systems (EAMs) have been developed to facilitate mapping processes but remain limited by spatiotemporal and processing restrictions. Advanced mapping systems emerged from the need to better understand and ablate complex AF substrate, by improving the acquisition and ...

Images in Electrophysiology First Case of Automatic His Potential Detection With a Novel Ultra High-density Electroanatomical Mapping System for AV Nodal Ablation

A 74-year old was referred to us for atrioventricular (AV) nodal ablation in view of atrial fibrillation (AF) with poorly controlled ventricular rate despite being on amiodarone. The patient already had a CRT-pacemaker implanted. Electroanatomical mapping using a novel ultra-high density mapping system (Rhythmia TM, Boston Scientific) was conducted as previously described [1,2]. A decapolar cat...
